1stWorks releases hotComm 3.0, delivering improved connectivity, collaboration and conferencing for Colleagues and Customers, Partners and Prospects, now supporting groups of up to 4000 simultaneous users for truly scalable and cost effective content distribution.

Connect with the world from your desktop. More importantly for your business, hotComm enables the world to connect with you, securely and spontaneously.

Sudbury MA, March 2, 2003 - 1stWorks Corporation today released hotComm 3.0, extending hotComm's rich multimedia capabilities in secure collaboration, web conferencing and content distribution to larger groups of simultaneous users.

By integrating a revised mechanism for the join process and user address management, 1stWorks has increased the potential number of simultaneous attendees in any one of its secure online conferencing sessions to 4000 users, dependent on available bandwidth.

Full motion video and voice over IP combined with the address redirection and presence management capabilities of hotComm create a simple, scalable and cost effective desktop web conferencing solution. Simply invite your guests to a secure hotComm session. Select voice and/or camera for the presenter's desktops and you have your conference. And all users share the rich multimedia experience of hotComm.

For truly scalable Content Distribution, hotComm Content Relay Manager is an unattended implementation of hotComm, hosted on a Windows NT class server with adequate bandwidth. The Content Relay Server accepts multiple presenter hotComm client input feeds and multicasts the content to the viewing community who access the virtual room through hotComm, hotComm Lite or our Java applet. The feeds can include any content form supported by hotComm, including dynamic or recorded chat, voice, video, files and presentations. Consider corporate meetings and announcements. Simply email the intending recipients asking them to link to the hotComm Content Relay Manager at the Company at the appropriate time. Each user will receive the announcement securely and simultaneously, with the Company's charts, documents and supporting commentary, right at their browser.
